What is biofeedback and how does it support pelvic floor training?

Biofeedback is a scientifically proven method that makes unconscious physiological processes visible and allows them to be actively influenced.

The PelvicTool by Alonea uses this well-established technique, which is known from physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Biofeedback is also successfully used in sports and fitness to optimize muscle control and promote targeted training progress. During biofeedback training with the PelvicTool by Alonea, the barely noticeable movements of the pelvic floor muscles – the contraction and relaxation of the muscles – are detected by sensors and displayed as visible signals in the  PelvicTool app . This is especially helpful because the pelvic floor muscles are located deep within the body, and many people initially struggle to consciously sense and control them. Biofeedback has therefore proven to be an ideal method for pelvic floor training, as  numerous clinical studies confirm.

The biofeedback function of the PelvicTool supports you with:

  • increased awareness and targeted activation of the pelvic floor
  • controlled training for contraction and relaxation
  • improved muscular coordination
  • building quick response capability
  • enhancing endurance and relaxation ability of the pelvic floor
  • tracking training progress
  • individualized and effective pelvic floor training

Guide

Pelvic floor training can not only help prevent bladder weakness. Stronger pelvic floor muscles can also help with back pain and enhance a more pleasurable sex life.
